THERE WAS A TECHNIQUE NAMED DIVIDE AND RULE. THE HINDUS AND MUSLIMS WERE SEPRATED BY RELIGIOUS CRISIS. ALSO THE HINDUS WERE GIVEN THE GUN COATING MADE OF COW'S SKIN AND SIMILARLY TO MUSLIMS OF PIG'S SKIN. DUE TO THIS A WAR TOOK PLACE NAMED THE INDIAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE IN 1857. AS THERE WAS NO CENTRALISED LEADERSHIP THE CLASHES FOR LEADERSHIP TOOK PLACE AND THERE WAS A BREAKDOWN OF INDIAN TRADITIONAL ECONOMY.
