He even managed to get himself into trouble by nearly half boiling himself in a kettle. He made holes in dresses and curtains. Once he even scared the ticket checker. He even broke dishes in the houses. He proved to be a big troublemaker for everyone. Thus, we can say that Toto was a mischievous pet.

- The writer's grandfather had bought Toto from a to had a desire to add him to the collection of animals which he had in his zoo at home. However, Toto was a very mischievous monkey
- The writer’s grandmother did not like the attitude of the writer's grandfather's of bringing new pets. Therefore, the grandfather wanted to conceal this fact from the grandmother till she was in a good mood. Hence, the writer and his grandfather kept Toto in a small cupboard that was in the writer’s room, and they tied him to a hook in the wall, to make sure that Toto did not escape.
- However,after few hours when the writer and grandfather had gone tp check Toto, they saw Toto had torn the decorative wallpaper, broken the hook and had escaped from his binding. He also tore the writer’s balzer into thin pieces. Seeing this grandfather said that Toto was clever that had they given him some more time Toto would have tied the thin pieces of the torn blazer and made it into a rope and would have escaped out of the window.
