Yes if force is acting on a body work done can be zero. This when an object is at rest and no external force except gravity is acting on it in this case thework that would be zero as the forceacting on it is perpendicular.


The formula for work done when a body moves at an angle to the direction of force=f s cos they.Where f=force applied and s=displacement and they is the angle in between them..
