See the triangle in the above figure
- Now, look at angle 1 and angle 2.
- We know that sum of angles on a straight line is 180.
- Therefore, 1+2=180°
- Since the example I have taken is an equilateral triangle, all the angles will be = 60°
- Therefore, 1+2=180° hence 2=120°
- 3+4=120° as 60+60=60°
- Hence 2=3+4
- This is the explanation for exterior angle property of a triangle
