Answer: The animal kingdom is mainly divided into two groups- Vertebrates- Animals with backbone and Invertebrates- Animals with no backbone. They are again sub- divided into smaller groups. Different groups in vertebrates are- Amphibian, Bird, Fish, Reptile and mammal.

Different groups in invertebrates are- Protozoa, Porifera, Coelenterata, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Echinodermata, Mollusca and Arthropoda.
