Solving Question:

We are given the expression, from that we can find the value of 'x'

The important thing here to follow is BODMAS rule which states that brackets should be opened first, then division,multiplication,addition and last subtraction.

Solution:

3(x-4) + 2(4x-5) = 5(x+2) + 16

⇒ 3x - 12 + 8x -10 = 5x + 10 +16 [open brackets ]

or, 11x -22 = 5x + 26 [add like terms ]

or, 6x = 48 [ bring 22 right side ]

or, x = 8 [divide 6 on both sides]

∴ The value of 'x' is 8
