x=140°

Please mark me as brainlist.

Step-by-step explanation:

40 °

+u=180 °

⇒u=140 °

ω+u=180 °

⇒ω=180°−u

=40°

∠z=70°(vertically opposite angles)

∠y+∠z=180°

⇒∠y=180°−∠z

180°−70°

=110°

⇒ω+x=180

∴x=140 °

Given : q || r and p is the transversal

To find : Value of x in the figure

Solution :

Since, we can see that we are provided with the two angles along with two parallel straight lines.

The given angles in the figure which are (2x + 43)° and (2x - 3)° are nothing but co interior angles.

Sum of co interior angles is always equal to 180°.

Therefore,

=> (2x + 43)° + ( 2x - 3)° = 180°

=> 2x + 43° + 2x - 3° = 180°

=> 4x + 46° = 180°

=> 4x = 180° - 46°

=> 4x = 134°

=> x = 134°/4

=> x = 33.5

Hence the value of x is 33.5°
