From the 1st hint : 8 is not any digit of the code (using the 5th hint), so, 6 or 2 are the correct digits and well placed.

From the 2nd hint : One number is correct digit of the code but wrongly placed.

As, 6 at the same place in hint to one and two. It cannot be the digit of the code.

So, From hint 1, 2 is the correct digit as well as at correct place.

So, the third digit of the code is 2.

From 2nd hint : We already found out that 6 cannot be the digit of the code.
