Indo gangetic Plains are highly fertile regions of India. it is drained by the largest river Ganga and its tributaries making it very fertile. thousands of tonnes of silt are deposited in these river banks every year. because of this fertility of the soil large density of population is seen in the Indo gangetic plains. clearly most of the people living here practice agriculture as livelihood.
