if the perimeters of both the shape are same then

perimeter of square =4×s

=4×6=24m.

now 24m= perimeter of rectangle

24=2(8+b)

24=16+2b

24-16=2b

8=2b

4=b

b=4m

hence the breadth of the rectangle =4m

now the area of square =s×s

=6×6

=36m^2

area of rectangle =l×b

=8×4

=32m^2.
