ships are painted to prevent from getting rust
painting is an another way for preventing any metal from getting rust
we must have read or observe that three conditions required for rusting are -moisture. air. and water and these three things are present at more at sea shores
this is done to prevent corrosion

ans2. copper vessels get a green covering around them because in humid atmosphere because it reacts with copper carbonate and copper hydroxide which gives them green colour

ans3 alloy is the mixture made of two substances
it alloys have different properties than metals which makes them more useful. we have observed braces on someone tooth. these braces are made up of alloy
alloy doesn't get rust that is why it is more useful. than metals

Ships are painted frequently because they are exposed to air and water, there is a chance of getting rust so just to prevent thus ships are painted
