Probability is the Ratio of number of Favorable Outcomes to the Total number of Possible Outcomes.

(b) When a Dice is thrown, The Possible outcomes can be 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6

⇒ The Total number of Outcomes are 6

The Question is find the Probability of Getting a Four on the Dice

⇒ Our Favorable Outcome is 4, which is one of the Outcome

⇒ Probability = 1/6

(c) As the bag contains 10 sweets and one toffee, if one of these is taken out from the bag without seeing, the taken one can be any one of the 10 sweets and one toffee.

⇒ The Total Number of Possible Outcomes are 10 + 1 = 11

The Question is find the Probability of Getting a Toffee from the bag

⇒ Our Favorable Outcome is Toffee, which is one of the Outcome

⇒ Probability = 1/11

(d) As the Bag contains 4 cards : A , B , C , D, if we draw a card from this Bag it can be A or B or C or D.

⇒ The total number of Possible Outcomes : 4

The Question is find the Probability of Drawing Card 'C' from the bag
