To show that Distilled or Pure water is a poor conductor of electricity
Procedure :
- Take about 2 teaspoons full of distilled water in a clean cap of a bottle.
- Use the tester to test if distilled water conducts electricity.
- Dissolve a pinch of common salt in the distilled water and test again.
Observation:
- The bulb of the tester doesn't glow when the tester is put into distilled water.
- When a pinch of salt is dissolved in the distilled water and tester is immersed then the bulb glows.
Conclusion:
