Billions of dollars are lost each year to piracy. It may seem innocent enough to install software on a couple of extra machines, but the results can be costly.

Imagine you organized a surprise party for a friend. But some other guy just came to know about your plan an told your friend. This will cause you an emotional loss.
Similarly, if you're trying to sell your product and some other person buys it at consumer level sell it further by making duplicate copies, there will be a financial loss and loss of customers to you.
Hence, it should be discouraged.
