Tropical evergreen forests:-

✦The tropical evergreen forests are found in ares receiving more than 200cm of rainfall & having a temperature of 15-30 degrees Celsius.

✦These forests are dense and multi layered.

✦They occupy about 7% of the earth's surface.

  • Monkeys
  • Lemur
  • Deer
  • One-Horned Rhino
  • Indigenous birds

These forests are found  in:-

  • Andaman and Nicobar islands
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Kerala
  • Karnataka

  • Arunachal pradesh
  • Assam
  • West Bengal etc.,

Mangrove forest:-  

✦Mangroves are only capable of thriving in salt water. They are found in the saltwater coasts and low lying areas of tropical and subtropical regions.

✦They make 1% of the tropical forests of the world.
