power sharing avoids social conflicts.social conflicts lead to violence and political instability.so by adopting power sharing we can avoid political instability.in India reservations are done to SC and st communities so that they feel that they are part of the nation.

- It reduces the possibility of social conflict.
- Since social conflict leads to political instability and violence, it ensures stability of political power.
- Tyranny of majority is not only oppression for minority, sometimes it ruins majority as well.
