Gully erosion takes place on the steep slopes of the hills. When there is a heavy downpour of rain the soil is removed by water flowing along definite paths down the slope in channel . Sheet erosion during heavy rainfall an area where there is no vegetation cover the rainfall instead of sinking stimulates the eroshive power and washes the top soil down the slope.

Answer:

Sheet errosion : when water flows as a slope and as a result ,the top part of the land is washed away ,such an errosion is called as sheet errosion.

Gully: when the running water cuts through the clayey soils and makes deep channels as gullies , then such an errosion is called gully errosion .
