Monsoon rivers are seasonal rivers. They have water in them only during the rainy season. They are almost always tributaries of a bigger river. They do not reach the Oceans like Arabian Ocean or Bay of Bengal.

Monsoon rivers do rampage villages by flooding them when there are a lot of rains in a season. There are not enough bridges across them. So people on either side of a seasonal river suffer during monsoons.

These rivers have a lot of muddy water in them and are not very deep.  Very few people go for fishing in them.
