Examples of Positive Deviation

Carbon Tetrachloride and Toluene or Chloroform. Methyl Alcohol and Water. Acetone and Ethanol. Ethanol and Water.

Examples of negative Deviation

If the solute A-A bond and solvent B-B is weaker than A-B bond i.e. solute and solvent are tightly bound to each other as they are to themselves, then the solution will show a negative deviation from Raoult's law because the solvent molecules will not find it easier to escape from solution into the gas phase.
