Three characteristics feature of Rural Employment act are;-
1)assured 100 days of employment .
2) 1/3 of the jobs are mandatory to be taken by women only.
3) If the person who has applied for the job is not provided employment within 15 days ........then she will be entitled to the daily unemployment allowance.

i) guaranteed 100 days of assured employment every year to the selected number of rural houses.
ii) one - third of proposed jobs would be reserved for women,
iii)if an applicant is not provided employment within 15 days she will be entitled to a daily employment allowance.
