Osmosis is defined as the diffusion of solvent (like water ) from the Solution of lower concentration (Hypotonic) to the solution of higher concentration (Hypertonic) when both are separated by a semi-permeable membrane .
The net direction and rate of Osmosis depends on both the Pressure and concentration gradient.
- Cell membrane .
- Blood brain barrier.
- Basement membrane of glomerulus of kidney.
