Step-by-step explanation:

hi I just had a test on chapter sets from Std 9 maths 1 chapt 1. A set is a well defined collection of elements.

eg of sets, numbers on a clock, fingers on a hand, legs of a chair, books in a shelf, students in a class, leaves/petals on a plant/flower, states in a country, people in a family, etc.

not sets- any of the above sets with an adjective or abstract noun is not a set. I will use examples from above.

eg of not sets, small fingers of a hand, strong legs of a chair, interesting books in a shelf, clever students in a class, wealthy states in a country, old people in a family, etc.

since everyone's perception of small, strong, interesting, clever, wealthy, old, is relative; we cannot call these sets.

hope you like this answer and found it useful.
