1. The cloth being used is washed and soaked then beaten with a mallet.
2. Using a pencil, patterns are drawn on the cloth and then re-drawn with wax.
3. cloth is then dipped and soaked in dye up to four times.
4. The dried wax is scraped off, leaving a pattern where the dye couldn’t reach the cloth.
