Potassium iodide react with nitric acid

2KI + 4HNO3 → I2 + 2NO2 + 2KNO3 + 2H2O

Potassium iodide react with nitric acid to produce iodine, nitrogen dioxide , potassium nitrate and water. Nitric acid - concentrated solution.
