2. CuSO₄. xH₂O (blue) -----> CuSO₄ (white/anhydrous) + xH₂O

Blue vitriol is hydrated copper(II) sulfate. On action of concentrated sulfuric acid, which is a strong dehydrating agent, the hydrated blue copper(II) sulfate is converted into anhydrous white copper(II) sulfate with the loss of water. (No change to sulfuric acid or copper(II) sulfate itself, so no chemical reaction takes place. This is a purely physical reaction)
