In Germany under democratic republic of wiemer Germany rule people has to go under to great economical crises - 1923 and 1930 to 1933
It lead support of new ideology of nazism led by Hitler and Nazi party gauranting economical growth, large scale employment and making Germany a super power
In Italy after world war 1 , allies gurrented the share of land to Italy for thier contribution in war but was not given
so this lead to rise of fascism by first fascist party lead by Benito Mussolini and became prime minister of Italy in 1923

CAUSES :

Discontentment after Treaty of Versaillies

  • The Treaty of Versailles humiliated the Germans and Italians.
  • Their territories were taken and they were forced to pay huge war repairs.
  • They had to lose colonies and lands.


Economic crisis

  • There was loss of economy .
  • The farmers were in debt .
  • These were the economic crisis of the First World War.

Political instability

  • There was no strong government and it was easy for Nazis to take over the instable government.

Hitler's personality

  • Hitler was a capable and promising leader.
  • He had a charismatic personality.

Mussolini's personality

  • Mussolini was an able leader.
  • He persuaded Italy by reviving their glory .

Absence of opposition

  • There was no strong opposition against the Nazis and Fascists.

Anti-semitic propaganda.

  • The Jews were portrayed as traitors and the Nazi party as well as the Fascist took the advantage of the Anti-semitic propaganda.
