Anne analysed the Hungarian Rhapsody trilogy, a biography of the composer, piano virtuoso and child prodigy Franz Liszt because she found it to be very interesting. In her opinion there was too much emphasis on women because Liszt was not only the greatest and most famous pianist of all time but also the biggest womanizer, even at the age of seventy. There was no end to the number of women he had had an affair with, from countesses to princesses, a dancer, a pianist, a baroness as well as actresses. Also, the book dealt with music and other arts which were very much interesting, many famous names found a place in the book including stalwarts like Wagner, Beethoven, Chopin, Hugo, Paganini and so on. Anne found Liszt to be a decent man, generous and modest though exceptionally vain. He helped others, put art above all else and was extremely fond of cognac and women. He was extremely charitable, not interested in money and cared about religious freedom and the world.
