The characteristics of kindom fungi are:-

1. These are achlorophyllous, heterotrophic and eukaryotic organisms.

2. The body of fungi is called mycelium, which is made up of no. of fine threads called hyphae.

3. All fungi are basically multicellular except yeast.

4. Cell wall of fungi is made up of chitin.

5. Reserve food in fungi is glycogen.

6. Heterotrophic nutrion in fungi is generally saprophytic.
