Dear friend,
The characteristics of Kingdom Protista are :
1. This kingdom includes unicellular algae, diatoms and protozoans.
2. The organisms in this kingdom are unicellular, eukaryotic organisms.
3. Mode of nutrition is either autotrophic (algae and diatoms) or heterotrophic (protozoans).
4. Some protists bear hair like cilia or whip like flagella for movement.
5. In some protists like Amoeba movement takes place by pseudopodia.
6. It reproduces by binary fission and multiple fission.
7. Respiration takes place by diffusion.
Hope it helps !!!

Answer:
The main characteristics of the Protista kingdom are:
- Protista are eukaryotic organisms (with a nucleus delimited by a membrane), lacking distinct vegetative tissues, except in those structures destined for the reproduction process.
- The size of the protists is highly variable(different), from microscopic unicellular forms to multicellular organisms several meters long.
- They are found in a variety of places or areas such as : soil, fresh water, ocean floor, decomposing organic matter, etc.
- In the kingdom of the protists all the possible nutrition models exhibit: autotrophic and heterotrophic , through phagotrophic, saprobiotic.
- They present or gives a great variety of types of locomotion (movement), by means of flagella, cilia, and pseudopods; although there are also various species that lacks in mobility. Many other organisms are free-living, while others have symbiotic relationships.
- During their life cycles process, Some species of the Protista kingdom have developed the amazing ability to form, resistance structures called cysts at the time of unfavorable conditions that is lack of water and food, and thus surviving in a dormant state (stopping their metabolic functions), until the more favorable conditions for their reproduction and survival arrive or reached.
