1- Louis 16 of bourbon family became king of France, faces empty tresury and growing discontent withi society of the old regime.
2- he married an australian princcess Marie Antoinette.
3-he indulged the life of ease and pleasure and was not interested in administrative reforms and welfare of people.
4- On 5 may 1789 he was called together an assembly of Estate general to pass proposals for new taxes.
5-although he had signed the constitution, he entered into secret negotiations with the king of Prussia.
6- he was sentenced to death by court on the charges of treason. On 21 january 1793 he waa executed publicly at the place de la concorde.
