In the above pic
The coordinates of the vertices of ∆ABC are A(3,3) , B(-1,0) and C(7,0)
Area of ∆ABC = 1/2 (base × height)
Area of ∆ABC = 1/2 (AM × BC)
[From the graph AM = 3, BC = 8]
Area of ∆ABC = 1/2 (3×8)
= 24/2
= 12 sq.units
