pOH Definition:
*******pOH is a measure of hydroxide ion (OH-) concentration .pOH is a measure of the alkalinity of a solution. Aqueous solutions at 25°C with pOH less than 7 are alkaline, pOH greater than 7 are acidic and pOH equal to 7 are neutral.
Similarly, pOH is the negative of the logarithm of the OH- ion concentration. pOH = - log [OH-] pH + pOH = 14. The equation above can be used to convert from pH to pOH, or vice versa, for any aqueous solution at 25C, regardless of how much acid or base has been added to the solution.
