William robinson was the son of an English Merchant.He had a desire to become a sailor. At the age of nineteen he sailed in a ship against the wishes of his parents. For some time he had smooth voyage but then the ship stuck against a sunken rock and he was about to be drowned. With great difficulty he returned to England.
