Non-cyclic Photophosphorylation. (Notes for your handout are shown in blue text on the diagram above!) Non-cyclic photophosphorylation produces ATP using the energy from excited electrons provided by photosystem II. As electrons pass through the non-cyclic pathway, they do not return to the original photosystem

The electrons movement in non-cyclic manner for producing ATP molecule with the help of energy released from the electrons which are excited from photosystem-II. This process is known as non-cyclic photophosphorylation.  

The electron movement is either one-directional or it would in non-cyclic manner. In this process both type of photosystem are included. The reaction center which is active is P680. The by-product of this process is oxygen.
