Dicot Plants:
-Seed contain two cotyledons
-leaves show reticulate venation
-root system is tap root
-flowers are pentamerous
- vascular bundles are present in rings
-stem is strong
-Ex- pea,potato,sunflower,etc.
Monocot plants
-seeds contain single cotyledon
-leaves show parallel venation
-root system is fibrous
-the flowers are trimerous
-vascular bundles are scattered
-stem is delicate
-Ex-maize,wheat,rice,onion,etc

MONOCOTS
monocot seeds have only one cotyledon called scutellum.
