Difference between 'Internal and External commands':
Internal command:
- An 'internal command in DOS systems' is any command that exists directly in the 'COMMAND.COM file'.
- These 'commands' are not in the form of any file; so neither 'they can be looked' nor 'can be changed or detected'. This contains the most common 'DOS' commands, like 'COPY, CD, CLS, and DIR', etc...
External command:
- An 'external command' is an 'MS-DOS' command, which is not contained in 'command.com'.
- Commands that exist in other 'COM files', or in 'EXE or BAT files', are referred to as external commands.
