Answer:

Mainly there is an identifiable difference in their approaches to the paths.

As the names suggests, If there is motion seen in a linear path, i.e. known as linear motion.

And if a motion is seen in a circular path, i.e. categorized as a circular path.

The difference can be found on basis of how these paths affect the speed and direction of the subject at hand,

When a person is found running in a linear motion,

-the speed will be seen unchanged and same. He will not experience any acceleration at that existing pace.

-There won't be any changes in his speed.

-Because, there won't be any changes in his direction.

However, when a person is found running in a circular motion, it will affect his speed and direction both.

Running in circular motion, he will experience a change in his pace everything he takes a turn into new direction.

For instance,

Imagine a person running on straight track versus a circular track.

Or a car on straight road versus circular road.
