closed circuit has a complete path for current to flow, whereas an open circuit doesn't, which means that it's not functional. Any circuit which is not complete is considered an open circuit. ... For example, a circuit connected to a dead battery may not perform any work, but it is still a closed circuit.

HEY YOUR ANSWER:-

1) In open circuit current does not flow but in closed circuit the current flows.

2) In open circuit potential difference is not established but in close circuit there is difference in potential.

3) Closed circuit is represented by ( . ) sign but open circuit is represented by ( ) sign.

4) The circuit in which electric current flows from one terminal of a battery to the other is called a closed circuit.

Deifferences between open circuit and closed circuit.

In other words, a closed circuit has a complete path for current to flow, whereas an open circuit doesn't, which means that it's not functional. Any circuit which is not complete is considered an open circuit. ... For example, a circuit connected to a dead battery may not perform any work, but it is still a closed circuit.

I hope it will help you.
