Give differences between soft and hard magnets.

Hard magnets :

1)material which retain their magnetism and are difficult to demagnetize are called hard magnets.These materials retain their magnetism even after removal of the applied magnetic field

2)They have largr hytersis loss due to large hytersis loop area

3) Magnetic energy is stored high.

Soft magnets :

1) Soft magnetic material are easy to magnetize and demagnetize.They are used in making temporary magnets.

2)They have low hytersis loss due to small hytersis area.

3) since they have low rententivity and coercivity.They are not used in making permanent magnets.
