The elements and compounds all follow their natural prop­erties. The earth revolves round the sun unfailingly and the Law of Gravitation and other such natural laws hold their ground eternally.

Man is a part and parcel of nature. He is also a unit, a unity in the social fabric. Just as if there were no strict adherence to laws by objects of nature, there would be complete chaos, if the human beings do not observe discipline, the entire social struc­ture would fall like a house of cards. For instance, we can violate the rules of the road only at great peril to our lives. A disobedient child may have to face disinheritance from his parents. A student who is not respectful and obedient to his teachers can learn noth­ing and has to repent in the long run. A disobedient public servant may lose his job. In the army an errant soldier can be court- martial led.

The word discipline comes from a Latin word disciple which means follower or admirer. In short, we can say that discipline means following of certain rules and regulations. Discipline in student’s life is very necessary. A student cannot get success if he or she doesn’t follow discipline. She/he cannot make full use of his time without discipline. Even nature follows discipline. Discipline plays a vital role in every walk of our life. In playground players need to be disciplined to win a match, soldiers cannot fight a battle without following discipline. Discipline in student’s life plays a major role in success for a student. After all one should understand the value of discipline to get success in life.

In simple words, Discipline means following certain rules and regulations. Discipline in students life is very necessary. We cannot even imagine a successful student who does not follow discipline in his life. In the very early stage of life when a student gets admitted in the kinder garden, she/he is taught discipline. From that stage, he is taught to be a disciplined human being so that he can be able to get success in his life. We know that time is money for a student. The success of a student depends on how she or he make proper use of time.A student cannot make full use of time if She/he is not disciplined. Discipline plays a vital role in every phase of our life. An indiscipline life is like a ship without the rudder. Discipline is strictly observed in any team games. A team can’t perform well without discipline. Sometimes in sports, a team with so many renowned and experienced players loses the game due to lack of discipline. In a similar way, a good student may not cover his syllabus in the stipulated period of time if he doesn’t follow discipline. So it can be concluded that Discipline is a part and parcel for a student to get success in life.
