Answer:
It is evident and simple to say that the narrator did not enjoy the luncheon. His guest has ordered a number of extravagant and costly items from the menu which costed the narrator a lot of money, an amount he did not intend on spending. Due to that, he was forced to order lamb chops, the cheapest item on the menu. The guest had also nagged the narrator a number of times saying that he should be more like her and not eat much for luncheon but ironically, she ate a large feast. Another scenario which showed us that the narrator did not enjoy the luncheon was that when the narrator was paying the bill, his guest was disappointed when the narrator could not afford to offer a tip to the waiter.
