In the story ‘’The Address’’ there are many evidences that suggest that narrator is a keen observer. When she was walking with Mrs. Dorling’s daughter, she saw an old antique piece of Hannukah candle which was hanging near the mirror. When she entered the living room, she felt herself in a strange environment which was surrounded by familiar things. She thought it may be due the bad interior of the living room or the ugly furniture or may be due to muggy smell in that room. She sat on a table which was covered with woolen cloth, white tea pot having golden border and many other things in that room which had belonged to her mother.

Explanation:

From the itinerary of the things in the house presented by the narrator, it is evident that she was a keen observer. As the narrator walked down the passage with Mrs Dorling's daughter, she saw an old-fashioned Hannukah candle-holder hung next to a mirror.
