• Thermal decomposition :- Decomposition reaction which is carried out by the agency of heat energy is called thermal decomposition reaction.

Ex:- $CaCO_3 + \delta \rightarrow CaO + CO_2$

• Electrolytic decomposition :- Decomposition reaction which is carried out by the agency of electrical energy is called electrolytic decomposition reaction.
