Distance: the length of the entire path, or the length of the distance traveled.Displacement: the most direct length between A and B. For example, if you hike up a mountain and you travel a curvy path 100 units, that is your distance.

Distance:

Length of the actual path.

Example→To travel from Point A to point B.

Displacement:

Minimum distance between the final point and the initial point.

Example→To travel from point A to point But and Again come to the point A..

So here the displacement is zero.
