Most everything in everyday life which involves a circular or curved motion has a centripetal force involved.  

Here are a few examples to demonstrate:

1.) Driving - When you take your car around a curve a centripetal force must be applied.  In this case a combination of Normal Force and Static Friction acting at the tires contribute to keep the car in its circular path.  

2.) Standing still - We are in a constant circular motion since Earth rotates.  In order for us to not be flung into space by Earth's rotation a centripetal force is required.  In this case Earth's gravity exerted on you provides the centripetal force.

3.) Playgrounds- Every time you use a swing!  The swing moves in a circular path and therefore requires centripetal force.  In this case the tension in the chains or ropes which hold up the swing provide the centripetal force!
