The examples follow as under:

Explanation:

  • A radical is an atom, molecule or an ion that has an unpaired electron in valence shell which also makes them highly reactive.
  1. Three positive radicals with valency 1 are: H¹⁺,Na¹⁺,K¹⁺.
  2. Three negative radicals with valency 1 are as given: Cl⁻¹,Br⁻¹,I⁻¹.
  3. Three positive radicals with valency 2 are: Mg²⁺,Zn²⁺,Ca²⁺.
  4. Three negative radicals with valency 2 are:O²⁻,SO₄²⁻,CO₃²⁻.
  5. Two positive radicals with variable valency are:Cu²⁺(1) in Cu₂O and (2) in CuO  also Iron while forming ferrous oxide exhibits valency of 2 while forming ferric oxide it exhibits valency of 4.
  6. One positive radical with valency 3 is: Al⁺³
