friction is the force applied from the opposite side of the force applied. if we are traveling from a car its engine become hot after sometime due to friction.this is an example for the friction disadvantages. if we go upward in this condition friction that is applied is greater so we have to produce high energy that's why friction is responsible for wastage of energy. we can reduce the friction by smoothen the surface
