Answer:

Drying: carrots, potatoes, bananas, corns, and green beans.

Boiling: fruits, tomatoes, salsas, jellies, and jams.

Freezing: cakes, fish, bread, meats, and clear soups.

Canning: meat, vegetables, jams, jellies, and pickles.

Dehydration: apples, apricots, bananas, celery, and corn.

Explanation:

Drying: It is a process through which the moisture present in the food is removed. This stops the growth of bacteria, molds, and yeasts and spoils the food.

Boiling: It is also called blanching. It destroys the microorganisms and enzyme activity at high temperatures.

Freezing: It delays spoilage and keeps the food fresh. Freezing prevents microorganisms from growing. It hinders the enzymatic activity which causes food to spoil.

Canning: Canned foods are placed in jars and are heated at a high temperature that destroys the microorganisms that are harmful or even spoil the food. It even prohibits enzyme activity.

Dehydration: It is the oldest method used to preserve food. The supplied energy to the food using hot air, or some other gas may be required to move the moisture away from the food.

Hence, the food is preserved by drying, boiling, freezing, canning, and dehydration.
