Hello mate, here's the answer:

Friction acts as a friend in many cases. For example you can take the case of walking. We are able to walk just coz friction is between our legs and the floor.

Friction also acts as a foe in few cases. Like the soles of our shoes or sandals gets rubbed on the floor and thus it reduces the long lasting feature of our footwear.

I hope this helps you!

Lots of love dear ;)
