Give explanation too don't give answer
Timothy has a notebook with its pages stapled together (Figure 1 ).

He opens the book at the middle page, presses it flat and measures its length as shown in Figure 2. He then turns the opened book over, presses it flat again and measures the length of the outer cover as shown in Figure 3.

What is he likely to find about the two lengths?

A. The outer cover is shorter.

B. The middle page is shorter.

C. The outer cover and the middle page are equal in length.

D. (Cannot say without knowing the number of pages in the book.)

  • It is applying more force and pressure to bend the notebook and it will hence cause the book to became flat

According to me the correct answer will be

B. The middle page is shorter

because the outer cover of a book has to cover the entire book and it's inside pages for that the outer cover needs more length than tha pages to cover the book perfectly.

I don't really know the exact answer but still I tired my best.
